FACE FINDER
Cartoon Character Hunting Game
Today we’re going to learn the game “Face Finder” which is a Cartoon Character Hunting Game.
Here’s what we’ll be needing to make a start.

Materials
- 1Some different colored acrylic paints, and brushes (or acrylic spray cans) to speed up the drying process. If you don't have any brushes handy - you can even apply the paint to the board with an old rag.
- 21 x Black Vivid per child, or these can be colored as well.
- 31 x Large Canvas, or suitable board that can hold acrylic paint.
- 4A safe place to add paint to the Large Canvas or Board.
- 51 x old rag to wipe down excess paint.
Instructions: The Setup
Set up a safe area to paint.
Now this next bit is easy, as we’re NOT TRYING to paint ANYTHING that is recognizable (e.g. a Tractor or a Butterfly).
Instead, we’re simply trying to create a random bunch of interesting paint marks, splotches, and different colors around the Canvas or Board.
Once complete - wipe off any thick areas of paint, and then wait for it to dry. Also keep in mind, you don’t have to paint the entire Canvas or Board, as it’s good to leave some NEGATIVE space for your young creators.
Instructions for Children
Take the painted Canvas or Board, and lean it against a wall somewhere secure. Give your children a Vivid Marker Pen each, and then tell them this:
"Hello Artists. This game is called FACE FINDER."
"Now how it works, today we want to FIND as many CARTOON FACES as we can, hiding in this painting."
"Have a good look around the painting, at all the different mark's, stroke's and blotches, and SEE what YOU CAN SEE hiding in the painting. Sometimes it might not even be the whole entire face, but that is your job, to capture them by drawing with your Black Vivid Marker Pen, onto the Board or Canvas - so that they can't get away..."
"Now don’t be surprised if you find a few Cartoon Faces hiding, as you can see from the examples, these Cartoon Faces seem to hide in packs....heheh"
"Once you're finished ONE SIDE of the painting, flip it around 90 degrees, and NOW re-start the process again - to SEE and FIND, who's hiding from this view. Continue this process until you reach the start again, then that's a wrap.... Faces captured, Your Artwork is Completed....."
CONGRATULATIONS - Faces Captured!
You’re now a Qualified Face Finder.
